Blogging Changes

Hey guys!
So it has been a while since I last blogged anything and the reason for that is that I never make time to just sit down and blog anymore. Like I used to blog all the time but because of school and things I haven't had time. Or I didn't make time. Or I never had anything to blog about.
But I have decided to blog more next year. Especially since this is something that I have enjoyed doing since I was about 11. I mean I like to keep my thoughts somewhere and I always have a place to do that.
I know a lot of my thoughts often go on Twitter and now YouTube but I think I need to take more time to write some blog posts. For things that need more than 140 characters and things that need to be more thought about before they are said out loud.
I don't know what those things might be but I have decided I'll put them here.
I have thought about starting a whole new blog but honestly I don't want to get rid of everything I have posted here so far. So I think I'll stick with this blog and see where we go. I know at some point the name and the design and everything will have to change but I want the posts to be here for a long time. Because I am a very sentimental person and I like to look back on things.
So yes. I will definitely be blogging more in the new year.
Also I have decided to stop blogging episode recaps. I used to do it all the time but this year has shown me that I actually don't have time to do that. I mean I can barely watch the TV episode alone never mind write a blog recap on it. Plus doing blog recaps like that stop me from blogging about things I actually have opinions on so I think it's best that those go.
However I will still be keeping up with everything else on this blog. Which is basically just random things I want to post and my Pointless Book entries.
Even so I am looking forward to the new year and all of the things that it will bring. Hopefully it will bring me lots more to blog about...but we shall see. :)
I think this might be my last post until the new year but I can't be sure because there are quite a few things I have been meaning to blog about but haven't gotten around to doing yet. But if this is the last blog post until the new year then I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :)
I hope your 2015 rocks more than your 2014. x

My Celebrity Crushes... | Page 10 | The Pointless Book

It's been forever since I have posted a blog post! For that I apologise. I know I still have two episodes of the Vampire Diaries to talk about but I have been really busy with school and YouTube. In case you didn't know I am currently doing Vlogmas. Which means vlogging everyday until Christmas so it is taking up a lot of my time right now.
Anyway...in this Pointless Book video I am talking about my celebrity crushes!
Now if you know me then you know I have a lot of celebrity crushes so picking only five was hard. But I think I picked some good ones. And plus they all belong to a TV show/movie that I really enjoyed and I think that's important haha. I mean what is a TV show or movie without it's good looking actors? Nothing.
Anyway on with the list...

I actually made this list a while ago and only got around to making this blog post and posting the video now. To be honest I never change celebrity crushes. Once you are up there you will probably be there forever. I mean Zac Efron has been a celebrity crush of mine since I was 11. And those feelings don't go away haha.
So I'm going to take some time now to talk about all of these wonderful men.

Jamie Dornan
Okay if you don't know I love him then you must be living under a rock. I mean Jamie has definitely been my man crush of 2014. I was introduced to him as clean-shaven Christian Grey but I got to home him as the dark and bearded serial killer in the Fall and then really fell in love with Jamie himself. He's such a great guy and I think he's an amazing actor. The fact that he modelled for Calvin Klein doesn't hurt either.
As one of the up and coming actors on this list I am very excited to see where he goes after Fifty Shades and the Fall. I mean he's really good at playing that dark twisted type of person who likes to have power over women but I haven't seen him in much else.
I suppose I should look into it haha. But yes I am definitely going to be sitting front row and centre for Fifty Shades in February....

Robert Pattinson

Rob was definitely a huge crush for me from about 2011 to now. I mean it definitely took a while for me to become Robsessed. But once I did I was definitely hooked forever. I obviously knew Rob in Twilight. But back then I was unsure of his appearance. I mean okay I may be a little bit shallow basing this on looks alone but I did for a while. Especially with Rob. But after Water For Elephants and a haircut I fell in love haha.
As a person Rob is adorable and I love that. He's definitely my favourite actor for facial expressions because his are so varied and he always comes across as awkward which again is adorable. I mean if you haven't swooned over him at least once then you need to take a second look.
Plus just think, he could have been Christian Grey. While a part of me will always want that I am very glad we have Jamie for the part.
But yes. Rob is perfection in every way. I have always thought so. Even with a half shaved head at comic con that one time...

Zac Efron

My crush on Zac Efron goes way back to 2007. It was the High School Musical days and his blue eyes with the Bieber cut worked for me. I mean I definitely always wanted a boyfriend like Troy when I was younger. He was so sweet. *sigh*
Plus Zac Efron has definitely been on the up and up since High School Musical. I followed him closely from HSM to Hairspray to 17 Again...lost him briefly as I got into the Twihard phase of my life and found him again recently. I mean he kind of went off the radar until That Awkward Moment for me. But I'm glad he came back.
I mean he can sing, dance, act and still look good while doing it. It's great. Haha.
While writing this I can't help but think back to those times when I used to spend ages on Zac Efron fansites finding out information about him haha. I mean I'm not going to lie I have done this with Jamie and Rob too but I feel it's more significant since Zac was the first.
He will always hold a special place in my heart. Especially because of High School Musical. Once a wildcat, always a wildcat, <3

Chace Crawford

For the longest time I thought he was Ian Somerhalder's double haha. There was a photo comparison of them ages ago and I just remember thinking they looked similar. However that was when Ian was in Lost and was younger and since then they have definitely grown and look completely different. To me anyway.
I fell in love with Chace Crawford in Gossip Girl. Nate Archibald was the guy I wanted to date. He was perfect.
But yes, I think the only place I know Chace from would be Gossip Girl. So I don't have too much to say about him other than he had that typical cute boy, Bieber hair thing that almost everyone on this celebrity list had at one stage - apart from Jamie I believe?
I mean I feel like there's a theme running through my celebrity crushes...could the Bieber cut be it? haha

Ian Somerhalder

Last and certainly not least is Ian Somerhalder. Vampire Dairies bad boy Damon Salvatore. Yes. It took me a while to like him though mainly because of his Damon character but with the way this series is going I am very much a Team Damon person.
Anyway yes, Ian Somerhalder is the definition of tall, dark and handsome. I mean have you seen him? He's older than all of the guys on this list but you wouldn't think it. He's adorable and is such a gentleman.
From following him on social media you can see he is actually a really good guy plus he has his own charity the Ian Somerhalder Foundation which is working to protect animals. It's inspiring.
I love Ian because of the type of person he is. I mean who doesn't like a guy who loves animals? Plus seeing him as Damon on Vampire Diaries and being all romantic and what not is very important to me haha. I like to imagine Ian is that charming in real life too...which isn't that hard to believe really.

And there you have it. My celebrity crushes. I don't even know if half of what I blogged made sense to you but it makes sense to me haha. But yeah, I suppose celebrity crushes are just a bit of fun to have, you can gush over how hot/cute a celebrity is with friends but in reality you'd be happy enough with someone who would stop and give you the time of day.
As you can see I take my celebrity crushes really seriously but I guess that's because no one else has taken interest. But we shall see if that changes as time goes on...
If you guys want to check out the video of me talking about celebrity crushes it is below:

I filmed it so long ago I don't even remember what I said but yeah. Let me know who your celebrity crushes are and if we have any of the same. Because if we do I believe we could become really good friends haha. :)

Would You Rather... | Pages 9 and 160 | The Pointless Book

Would you rather is something that is very popular on YouTube however when people ask YouTubers would you rathers they are all really sexual or really gross...I am so glad that The Pointless Book found a happy medium haha.
So if you want to watch the video of me answering these "Would you rather" pages, it's below:

As for the actual pages, this is the first one.

I have decided to go through all of them and give a brief description of why I chose them. I know I already did this in my video but I feel like I can always explain things better when I have had time to think about what I am going to say haha.

Would you rather...
  1. Have wings or fins?
I chose wings because flying in my opinion is much cooler than swimming. Also I have a fear of the water, even though if I had fins I'd be okay? I don't know. I'd just rather be up high in the world. Considering I am not a tall person it would be like exploring a whole new world
  2. Have sweets for dinner everyday for a month or have a pint of curdled milk?
I feel like this one is self explanatory. I mean I don't even have a sweet tooth but drinking milk that's gone off is a no go.
  3. Have no elbows or no knees?
Considering I am not that active of a person I think I could live without walking. Plus I need my elbows so that I can have hands so that I can use my computer, duh.
  4. Be in a cave of spiders or snakes?
I hate spiders a lot. So snakes is probably best...I mean I wouldn't cope well in either situation but I feel like snakes would be more bearable...
  5. Swim with crocodiles or sharks?
Neither seem to appealing but why do I feel like sharks sound less threatening than crocodiles? I have no idea...
  6. Drink your own urine or eat your own vomit?
Um...again I'd rather not do either but urine seems not as bad as vomit.
  7. Fight a horse sized duck or 100 horse sized ducks?
I don't think a duck would be too much hassle to be honest...
  8. Have legs as long as your fingers or fingers as long as your legs?
Again I'd need to have my regular fingers so I can use my computer and stuff. And besides, who even needs walking anymore? You can get almost everything delivered to your house.
  9. Be sexually attracted to fruit or have Cheetos dust permanently stuck to your fingers?
I feel like you could probably live with loving fruit. But not being able to get something off of your fingers is just unbearable. Especially crisp dust. Ugh.
  10. Speak any language fluently or be able to speak to animals?
Not a big animal person so I feel like being able to talk to them would be a waste. Plus learning to speak another language can benefit me in the future. Plus if I said things under my breath in a different language people would have no idea what I was saying so it's a win win situation.
This was also the page where we got to scan and see Alfie's answers! Honestly, that whole thing was a bit fiddly to do because I was holding my phone weirdly and it stopped working and it was this whole ordeal but I did manage to get it sorted.
I won't give away Alfie's answers but I will say that we actually answered a lot of them similarly...which I think is very interesting haha.

To the second page:

I was sad there weren't as many questions to answer on this page but I do have to say these ones were harder to answer. But I was finally able to choose.

Would you rather...
  1. Be boiling hot or freezing cold?
As much as I like heat, I don't think I would physically be able to cope with being boiling hot. Sweating is so gross.
  2. Have your computer memory wiped or have your past and future web browsing history available to everyone?
I have a lot of things on my computer I'd rather not lose. Plus my internet history is mostly fangirling, stalking people on Facebook and looking up hot guys shirtless. No secrets here.
  3. Drink a cup of public swimming pool water or sea water?
Chlorine is horrible. So sea water seems like the better option. Plus it doesn't say how big the cup needs to be. It could be tiny.
  4. Hiccup for the rest of your life or feel like you have to sneeze but can't for the rest of your life?
You always feel satisfied after you sneeze so I feel like if we didn't have that we would crack up so hiccuping it is...as long as they aren't the violent kind...
  5. Listen to one song for the rest of your life or never have to listen to the same song twice?
Probably the hardest choice out of all of them to make. I mean I only listen to a few songs more than once and eventually I would run out of songs to listen to if I couldn't listen to them more than once. So I feel like choosing one song to be my anthem forever is the best. I'd probably go with High School Musical.
  6. Not be able to use the internet or not be able to listen to music?
I have lived on the internet for my entire teenage life. How could I ever give that up?
And there you go. Those were my would you rather choices. Do you agree with them?
These things are always hard to answer because you always try to find exceptions and conditions to the would you rather statement that defeats the whole purpose of the game. Even so....having to make choices like this make me realise I am probably not equipped to make any big decisions anytime soon...Even though I just applied to university...
I have such optimism! Haha.
But yeah I really like sitting and filling in these Pointless Book pages. I also like it because it encourages me to be productive because I want to film a video and make a blog post on top of just filling in the page itself. I know it seems like a lot of work but for someone who doesn't have a job and has a lot of free time it's definitely a hobby I enjoy.
So I hope to continue it...I have no idea what to do when the book is completely finished. But I think that's something to think about closer to the end...
So until then let's enjoy it while we have it shall we?

Turning Pages With... and More! | Pages 114, 81, 83, 129, 165, 132, 133 & 140 | The Pointless Book

A lot of things happening in this Pointless Book video! Not a lot to blog about but quite an entertaining video that is for sure. :)

I hope you enjoyed the video. I mean I kind of did. Looking back I realised I do look like a complete weirdo but I think these are the things we like to do for the internet sometimes.
Below I have a screenshot of my notes page in case for some reason you wanted to have a better look:

I'll never know why I chose to put some ICT homework notes in there but I will definitely look back at this and wonder what the heck it means haha.
I also have a photo of my random tweet - well not my tweet - the one my friend tweeted from my account:

Oh the memories.
But yes, I do seem to have cleared through quite a lot of pages with this one blog post but this is still the start of things there are so many pages I have yet to do. And I will not stop until I get through them all. Well I might stop sometimes...but I will complete this book! I am determined to!

My Favourite... Revisited and Biting Pages | Pages 27 & 28 | The Pointless Book

Another update from my Pointless Book! Can you believe it has been a month since I last filled anything in? I can. It sucks that it's been so long.
Anyway, today we revisited my favourites page! If you want to check out my post from last month click here.
So surprisingly not a lot of my favourites changed which kind of makes for a boring blog post and video but I still filled it in as required haha.

Above is my completed page, as you can see not a lot has changed. But still I will give you an overview of why these things are my favourite just because I don't know how well I explained them in my video:
  • Book: Fifty Shades Darker - this one is the same as last month. Nothing too exciting about that. Plus I haven't exactly read anything else since last month so  I don't really know how I could have a new favourite. I should probably get back into reading...
  • Song: Do the Catwalk by Girls' Generation (SNSD) - I discovered this song one day on iTunes and I kind of fell in love with it. I don't exactly know why but I am all for Girls' Generation songs, especially now since Jessica is gone I definitely treasure their songs as a group of 9. I mean I will continue to support them without Jessica but it's still sad. Anyway, this song is just really cool, I don't know how to describe it other than that it's just really different from a lot of their other songs and I really like it.
  • Colour: Black - I doubted that this was going to change from last month I mean I've had the same favourite colour since forever
  • YouTuber - I actually left this one blank this month mainly because I couldn't think of a YouTuber that really stood out to me this month. I just really love all my YouTubers equally and so I couldn't choose between them all haha.
  • Friend - As I explained before I think it's mean to choose between your friends and so I left this one blank
  • Blogger: Tyler Oakley - He is my queen and will forever continue to be
  • Video Game: Sims 4 - There hasn't been many new games out recently and plus I haven't exactly had time to play any so Sims 4 is still my favourite
  • Film: Twilight - If you didn't know I am a Twihard. I even made a whole video talking about this. I just don't know what it is about the story but I am in love with it and it is definitely one of my favourite movies of all time.
  • Website: YouTube - I use this on a regular basis and while TweetDeck was fun I have reverted back to using my regular Twitter feed for the most part.
And those were all my favourites! I know not a lot of them changed but I didn't know if any of them would or not. I mean a month is a short period of time. I suspect these will definitely change over years but who has time to write down their favourites every year? Oh wait...some YouTubers lol.
Anyway since it had been a while since I had filled in part of my Pointless Book I also decided to do the page before my favourites page and that was the page that asked you to take a bite out of the page.  This is what mine ended up looking like:

As you can see it did leave a huge rip down the middle of my page and that's why I am so glad I took a photo of my favourites page before this happened. News flash: those pages do not taste nice lol.
If you guys want to watch the video where I take a bite out of my Pointless Book and I fill in my favourites it is below:

I know I haven't filled in a lot of pages as I said but I have filmed a few more Pointless Book videos to go up soon and so you will be getting more blog posts to go along with them. Yay! :)

Annabelle

A movie about a creepy doll. Ooh that's never been done before.
So a while ago I went to see Annabelle and honestly...not the scariest film I've ever seen. To be honest I am not a horror film person so I haven't seen a lot of them but this...? This wasn't that great.
So yeah I'm here to give my thoughts on the movie.
The main peace of advice I would like to give you for this movie is...Don't watch the trailers.
I mean you may want to, just because you want to know what the film is about and everything but please don't. Especially if you don't want any spoilers. I mean I watched two different trailers before the film, mainly just to hype myself up because I'm crazy like that but I just wanted to know what to expect but almost every scary part of that movie were in the trailers.I guess it depends what trailers you watched but in the ones that I watched, I basically covered everything I needed to see that might scare me.
I think there was only one or two parts in the film where I was actually a little bit scared about what happened but I think I may have only jumped once. So I didn't exactly freak out over anything too big.
However if you asked my friends, it's a different story, two of them screamed and so they were definitely scared haha.
We're all different that way, depending on your tolerance of scary movies.
I didn't think I would handle it but honestly it's not as scary as you think it will be. For me it definitely wasn't anyway. It's not like the doll moves.
I mean we were all expecting it to. Everytime there was a close up we were all on the edge of our seats waiting for it to blink but it did not.
This is because the doll isn't technically possessed. Like I did my research - I even looked up the real story of the real Annabelle doll. Not sure what website I went on but it had pictures of the real doll and the website started to play music and that freaked me out for real so I decided to just copy the text to a word document so it was easier to read and I didn't have to look at the doll.
Anyway, the doll is obviously holding a demon spirit but it's not controlling the doll, it's just using it as a device to stay in this world to look for a human to possess. I don't even know if I described that in the best way but long story short, the doll DOES NOT MOVE.
It IS being moved by something else - a.k.a the demon. You can see it in the movie at one point standing holding the doll. My friend said she never saw it but she just saw the doll. Which is weird.
But yeah, I mean the night I was doing my research I thought I would be scared by the movie, just because the more you actually just stare at the poster of the doll it gets creepier...so I obviously wanted to know what happened in the movie. I scanned the synopsis on the internet so I knew what happened at the end. I guess that does spoil things but I need to be prepared for this stuff.
Like I said I am not a horror film fan so going into watch something I have no idea about freaks me out and I need to know the deal. With this film nothing tragic happens, I mean something does but like you sort of expect it and it's not like anything too graphic happens either.
Mostly your typical horror movie things. I mean I don't know what I was really expecting.
My main thing about this movie is - why would you think that doll was great to bring home to your child in the first place? It looks mega creepy from the start. And I know that the real life doll is different but I mean it just doesn't make any sense.
Not that I believe in things like this, I normally have to see it in real life to believe it. At the same time I doubt you will see me at the museum where the real Annabelle doll is kept anytime soon. I mean I don't want to take the chance you never know.
But yeah I am glad they went with a different doll because if they had used one that looked like the original I definitely think it would have made the movie scarier. I mean obviously the doll on its own doesn't look like much but put it in a scenario like this and it will.
Back to the movie as a whole - it was okay. I think I had more fun watching my friends reaction than anything haha. Does that make me a mean person?
I don't know.
Also in this movie the husband just seems to abandon his wife and child, I get that he has to work all the time but isn't this always the way? Something tragic happens to your pregnant wife so she's stuck in bed until birth and he's off to work away from home? Like what's wrong with you?!
I mean we know he has to work for a living and finish med school and all that but like if your neighbours were just murdered and these same murderers came to your house and tried to kill your wife wouldn't you stay home? Just until the baby was born?
I don't know. He's a bad parent.
Plus thinking his wife was crazy is not the best thing either. But I think I know where he's coming from with that one.
But yeah, I don't think I have too much else to say about the film, other than why call your child something that is very similar to the mother's name. So similar that you can't even tell who they are talking about, I think the movie names were Leah and Mia or something like that. Either way it was like "who are they talking about?"
I gotta say the ending was pretty good. I mean no the story didn't focus on the room mates at the start of The Conjuring but it does end with the beginning of that story. Would that mean there's going to be another one? I hope not. Like I read what happened with them as that's the main original story and so it wouldn't be anything new.
I guess overall I am kind of done with this series of movies. I don't know there was just nothing about them that really grabbed my attention it was just kind of boring. Maybe I did spoil it for myself but even if I hadn't I don't think there could have been anything there that would have made me jump more or even scream.
But I guess that must mean I'm not easily scared haha.
Well I don't know if this was a review or not but let me know what you guys thought if you went to see the movie. I don't even think I could rate this movie considering I don't have a lot of horror movie knowledge to compare it many movies....oh well......

Jessica leaving Girls' Generation?!

It's safe to say I was shocked. Did anyone else see this coming?!
I have been doing research on this for the past few hours on the internet but everywhere says the same thing and it's really hard to get a clear picture of what is going on here.
Although from what I have read it seems as though SM Entertainment is just crumbling with so many other bands losing members and all these other 'scandals'. I am not really a huge part of the KPop scene other than Girls' Generation so I didn't really know about all the other bands and issues until today.
From what I gather SM seemed to have dropped Jessica due to a conflict in interests? I mean their statement was hard to understand with the wording but basically Jessica had already expressed that she wanted to leave and that is why SM decided to separate her from Girls' Generation yet they would still manage her. Just separately.

On the other hand Jessica posted on her social media site weibo (which is like Twitter in Asia?) that she was dropped from GG for no reason and that it has always been her main priority. She was getting ready to go to the fan event in China as well...

I mean it's kind of hard to tell who's telling the truth.
I am going to try and express my thoughts on the situation here as best as I can and try not to take sides however my biased is leaning towards Jessica's story...just because of all the things going on with SM right now and other evidence.
My first thoughts were that SM dropped Jessica for no reason because I didn't think she was actually doing anything wrong? A lot of the things I saw on Tumblr were about how everyone was sad and that they want SNSD to stay strong in this time. Which I do too.
I mean I think this all comes down to the fact that Jessica does want to pursue a career in fashion and SM didn't think that Jessica could do that and be in the band and so cut her off.
Which sounds horrible.
I just think this is really bad timing especially when the other members of Girls' Generation are currently in China for a fan event and Jessica is not. I think this is really bad for the girls because they are being made to do something without one of the band members, and I don't think it was their choice to since Jessica was apparently supposed to be there only to find out she'd been dropped.
Plus I really don't think this was Jessica's choice. Especially because she, along with the other members signed a contract with SM to stay in the band for three more years after their seven year contract with SM ended. So if she was going to leave SM to focus on her fashion career wouldn't she have done that and not signed the contract?
I have read people saying that SM was doing what they thought was best because Jessica wanted to start a fashion line, study abroad and be in the band and that she couldn't cope with all these things at once and because she didn't want to chose between them SM chose for her. Which does make sense but at the same time I don't know why that stopped her from being with the rest of the band for at least this one last fan event.
Like the SM statement said she'll be there for one more album right? So technically, until the album is released she is still part of the band? Unless I am reading it wrong.
Still I think it was awful for SM to send the rest of the girls to the fan event without Jessica. And what made things even more heartbreaking is that when they were performing they didn't sing Jessica's part. I mean I don't know if this was true for all songs but during their song "The Boys" they didn't sing her part and it was awful. Not just for the fans but for the girls as well I mean I feel like they felt really lost because they had no one to fill her spot.
I mean they could have just cancelled the event or something...I know that's a hassle but they should have cancelled or let Jessica go anyway. I mean why stop her from going?
The crazy thing is that Jessica isn't the only one of the girls who is doing other things besides singing. The other members of the band have been acting on TV shows, films and even in musicals. They have been doing other things outside of Girls' Generation and so I don't know why Jessica can't do these things either.
I also think that even if Jessica was going to leave and expressed her thoughts on leaving she wouldn't have done it this way. I feel like if everyone knew she was going to leave at some point and supported her there would have been a much bigger farewell than this. I don't know how they do it in Korea but in America/Europe if someone leaves a band the whole band are supportive and celebrate the time that person was in the band. So I feel like if Jessica had told them she was leaving that would be the response she would have gotten and not this.
So yeah. I think I have said everything. From photos I can tell the other girls are really upset. I mean they spent seven years together and now is the time to drop one of them like flies? That's cold. I mean yes, Jessica and SM may have had a conflict of interests but I doubt Jessica would have chosen to leave at this point in time. It just looks bad.
Will we ever know the truth? I have no idea.
I just am kind of shocked and upset about the whole thing because I don't think it should have happened this way regardless of who actually made the call of Jessica leaving.
In the end I wish all the girls the best, but at the same time I know it won't be the same without Jessica in the band. I mean these girls have been through so much together and for something like this to happen is really awful...
I have no idea what's to come but I'm interested to know.....
If you guys have any thoughts I'd be interested to know. :)

My Favourite... | Page 28 | The Pointless Book

I completed another page of the Pointless Book!
Today is the "Favourite Ever" page where I talk about my favourite things! I was really excited to do this especially because you can go back in a month and update it. This is very important for someone like me who changes their mind about things all the time, my favourite things don't stay favourite for very long haha.
So below is what my page looks like:

For this book I am trying to use handwriting that is clearer to read because I normally have joined up hand writing and it can be hard to read sometimes so I will be printing in this book.
As you can sort of see at the top I wrote the date that I filled this page in so I know what date to come back to and fill in this page again. I also thought I would take this opportunity to talk through my favourites a little bit more. I have made a video in which you can check out below although I don't know how well I explained my favourites there so hopefully this will give you more clarity.

My Favourites:
  • Book: Fifty Shades Darker - so this is the second book in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and I really loved it. Now I know these books aren't everyone's favourites but I can't help but admit that I do like them. I know they aren't the best written books in the world but I am a sucker for Twilight fanfiction which is probably the only reason I read these books because otherwise I don't think I would have taken an interest.
Anyway, the second book is my favourite because so much happens in it. I mean a lot happened in the first book too but by the second one you have really gotten to learn a lot about Christian and Ana and their relationship definitely takes a more interesting turn in the second book. I don't want to say a lot but this was the one that I definitely couldn't put down.
Also one of my favourite things to do with published fanfiction is try and work out who the original characters were from the fanfiction because you know Christian and Ana started as Bella and Edward...so I do like to put that puzzle together and in my head I think I've done a pretty good job haha.
  • Song: Fun by Troye Sivan - I am obsessed with this song I mean I'm obsessed with the entire TRXYE album but this is one of my favourites, next to Happy Little Pill this is the song that stood out the most to me. I am not even sure why since the lyrics don't exactly apply to me or anything but the beat of the song and everything is just so catchy and good. So I really love it. And of course I support all the YouTubers out there so TRXYE is a must. :)
  • Colour: Black - Well...I mean...as a teenager who fell in love with Twilight at an early age I was easily converted into that time in your life when all you want to wear is black/dark clothing. I mean everything looks better in black. Plus my bedroom walls might be bright blue but that doesn't stop me from putting up black Twilight posters everywhere...so yes I do love the colour black.
  • YouTuber: Tanya Burr - Tanya is one of the YouTubers I recently watched over summer and she is one that sticks out as my favourite. I am not sure why I picked her out of all the others but I think it's because lately she is the one that sticks out the most. I love her vlogs and she's so cute and happy all the time and I think she's a great person to have in your life even if it is just through the computer screen. She definitely brightens up my day and so that is why she is one of my favourite YouTubers
  • Friend: So I had to leave this one blank because I was not about to put out there into the world who my favourite friend is. I think it's mean to pick a favourite friend especially when you have quite a few really great friends you can't choose between. So...sorry about that. Plus I know if I put out there who my favourite friend was on the internet my friends would be asking about it and some may be taking offence.
  • Blogger: Tyler Oakley - So I don't know if you have ever checked out Tyler Oakley's Tumblr but I definitely think it's something you need to do. Tyler is the best. I mean his posts are always hilarious and I don't know where he finds them but I am constantly reblogging him on Tumblr all the time.
I could have picked a serious blogger for this category but I don't really follow any serious blogs beyond the ones YouTubers have and Tumblr blogs and that is why Tyler Oakley is my blogger queen.
  • Video Game: Sims 4 - Without a doubt I love this game. I know it's only new but I have been so excited waiting for this game that now I finally have it and I need to play it as much as possible! I am sad they had to remove some of the big features of the game but at the same time I am so excited to learn more about this new sim world and can't wait for all the new expansion and stuff packs. Sims has always been one of my favourite games ever and so this was a no brainer.
  • Film: Mean Girls - If you have never seen Mean Girls then please don't talk to me because it is one of my favourite movies of all time. I mean if you haven't seen my blog post where I talk about the 10th Anniversary then you obviously don't know how deep this love is. So yes, Mean Girls always has been and always will be one of my favourite movies.
  • Website: TweetDeck - So I once saw Zoella check Twitter in one of her vlogs and I noticed it looked way cool and wasn't a regular Twitter feed. Turns out she was using TweetDeck. And me, being the avid Twitter user I am had to get it immediately. I love it. I mean okay you don't really need it but I think it's great.
I don't know if I am the only one who is like this but I do like to see my own profile on Twitter and also check my timeline a lot so to switch between the two can get a bit annoying so when I found out you could use TweetDeck to open both at the same time I thought it was the best thing ever and so this website has quickly become my favourite.
And those were all my favourites! I didn't intend for this blog post to come out so long but if you want to see the video where I fill in this page it is below, check it out because I would really appreciate it and I look forward to filling in the rest of my book! And I will also see you next month for an update on my favourites:

Playing MASH! | Page 156 | The Pointless Book

I have completed my first page of the Pointless Book!

I have decided to start my Pointless Book off with a good old fashioned game of MASH. I actually really like playing MASH and have an iPod app where I can create my own MASH games with a lot more categories so I am very familiar with the game. I have also seen several YouTubers play it and it's very interesting and funny to see what kind of results that you get with it.
Obviously this game is a bit of fun this will definitely not tell you how exactly your future is going to turn out but we all like to pretend that it does!
Here is the video below of me filling in this page in my book:

This is what the finished page looks like:

So I am going to marry Alfie, live in a shed, have two kids and live in Germany. Sounds like a good life haha.
Honestly though when I play this game I do tend to only provide myself with good options and that way I will not be disappointed with the outcome although it can be fun to mix it up a bit. I  guess I am just a bit boring that way.
And so this marks the very first page of my Pointless Book that is complete. I don't know how to feel about this. I mean it's not that big of a deal but for me it is because if I get a book and you can write in it I try to do it in the best way possible - which means not screw it up. So I tried to take the utmost care with this and make sure it a huge mess and a failure haha.
Anyway I am super excited to start this project thing with Alfie's book because I think it is a good way to keep up my blogging since I feel I don't do it as much as I can and it also keeps my YouTube going. I don't know if I want to make my videos for this unlisted or not though...just because I feel people won't enjoy seeing them all the time...I don't know. I will figure it out on the way...
In the meantime... 1 page down... 191 to go!

The Pointless Book!

I got my copy of The Pointless Book today! I am so excited to have this book!
My plan is to document how I fill in my Pointless Book for however long it takes me to go through it because some of the things you can do in this book are a bit more than just writing something down on paper. At least if everything is documented here then you know I have actually completed a page in the book instead of just saying I have done it, when in reality I have not haha.
I'm so ready to do this and I hope you guys will follow me on my Pointless Book journey. :)

Guardians of the Galaxy and The Purge: Anarchy

So last week I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy and yesterday I went to see the Purge and I thought I would just give my thoughts on them.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Well first off let me put it out there that I am not a Marvel fan. Which kind of makes you wonder why I went to see this movie. I mean I really don't understand superhero movies although I am a girly girl so things like this often phase me.
Basically this person I follow on Tumblr is obsessed with Marvel and she posts gifs and things all the time, and you'd think if this annoyed me I would just unfollow her. But the thing is, on Tumblr everyone has more than one fandom and so this person likes Marvel but they also like Fifty Shades of Grey so that's why I follow them. Also I normally can't be bothered to unfollow people and so I keep them on my dash anyway.
But yeah this person posted loads of gifs from Guardians of the Galaxy and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with Groot. Because everyone is obsessed.
So this movie was okay. I mean I guess I wasn't that into it because it was about space and there was a lot of fighting and action and I am just not into that. I mean okay what do you expect from something made by Marvel but I sat through it anyway.
I mean it had it's funny points and it's good points. Like yes, I understand why people really liked Groot but at the same time I wasn't so emotionally attached that I cried.
My favourite thing was probably when they were getting ready to battle and they played Cherry Bomb by the Runaways. I loved the Runaways movie and the song haha.
But yeah I mean I'm surprised I made it through because it seemed like such a long movie. And I don't like movies where you can feel the time passing because then it's not a good movie.
When I came home I looked up the movie on IMDB which I always do after I see a movie. I didn't even know this was based on a comic book, although I should have guessed because it's Marvel but hey you learn new things every day.
The story was a little bit hard to follow if you have no idea what's going on when you step into the movie theatre. Or maybe that was just me but I was wondering what the deal was and who was who and why things were a big deal, I mean I managed to figure it out in the end but even so it was a bit confusing.
But yeah I honestly think I didn't like it because it was a genre that I am not a fan of. I mean at least you can't say I didn't even go and see the movie and decide I didn't like it. I did watch it, but I didn't find it that enjoyable to watch and I probably wouldn't watch it again.

The Purge: Anarchy
So I have seen the first Purge movie, I saw it at my friend's sleepover at the start of the year and that was a good movie. Again, it's not something I typically go for but I did enjoy it. Which sounds weird when you think about it, considering what the movie was about.
Anyway I was really excited that there was a second one because it was a good movie and this one was hopefully going to be the same.
I have to say they definitely upped their game on this one. The last one was only about what one household had to deal with, in this one we had those guys in trucks, the people with the masks, two people who were saved by a stranger, a guy out on the Purge for revenge and these two people who got stuck outside with nowhere to go.
Obviously all these people were going to have to meet up because following more than one person's storyline in a movie is kind of hard if they don't eventually meet up with the other people.
I found this movie to be very interesting, I mean obviously, you want to know what's going to happen to people, who the people were in the masks and why they are after others. And of course this is a movie with a lot of blood and death. Which usually isn't my type of thing but I guess it depends how they do it.
It was really interesting because you wanted to know who all these people were that were after the main group of people and you wanted to know why they were going after them. Obviously you don't find out until towards the end of the movie but they like to keep you in suspense.
Again, this movie did seem a bit long...which I said I didn't like but I guess if you are going to document 12 hours into a shorter time space you have to make it a little longer.
Although I have to say at the end when there was only five minutes left of the Purge, it was the longest five minutes of my life haha. I mean so much happened in that last part of the movie with a lot of plot twists that you didn't really know what was happening...
But it was a good movie and I did enjoy it more than Guardians of the Galaxy. At the same time this isn't a movie I would think about rewatching at least not a lot haha.

So yeah those are my thoughts. I could have probably said a lot more if I had remembered more about the movies but yeah. I hadn't been to the cinema in a long time but when summer started I have ended up going three times. I also went to see 22 Jump Street but I don't have a lot to say about that since I really don't remember what happened haha. It was entertaining and better than the first one I feel though.
I don't know if I will do more reviews of movies and things, mostly because I don't feel like I comment on a lot of things, usually I either like it or I don't...and that's my opinion haha.

Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage

So on Monday night I had the chance to see Dirty Dancing live on stage.
I wasn't sure what to expect because I had never seen the movie. Which makes you wonder why I went to see it if I didn't even know the story but my sister had gotten tickets and she had extras and so I went with her, my other sister, my mum, three of my sister's friends and my friend Ashleigh. It was definitely a girl's night.
If I could say anything about my experience it's that I finally experienced people fangirling that weren't me. I mean grown women fangirling which is something I have never encountered until now and I'll tell you something, I felt so awkward being in that room with all those women fangirling.
I guess because I didn't understand the appeal haha.
The actor playing Johnny, he is good looking and yes he looks good without a shirt but he just didn't do it for me. So when all those women were cheering at this shirtless man I was not...
It just felt awkward and me and my friend just sort of looked at each other like "what do we do?"
Anyway aside from that we had awesome seats. I mean what other way is there to see a show? I didn't know what seats we had but we definitely had a good view.

Oh another thing I noticed before the show started - everyone taking selfies. I have seen people take selfies before and you don't always look good doing it but literally everyone was doing it and me and my friend were pointing out all of them around us haha. We really love to document things and selfies are just a part of that.
Anyway the actual show - for someone who had no idea what the story was about I thought it was good. I mean I don't understand what made people fall absolutely in love with it but I guess it was a different time period when the movie was released and so I don't really get the full impact of the story. I also figured that out when a lot of the women in the crowd were in fact women and not young girls.
Anyway it was pretty amazing, the dancing especially although I suppose it would have to be given the name of the play. But yeah it was really something, and the fact they have to do that every night is astounding. It also makes me wish I could dance like that but I have no dancing skills whatsoever.
The singing was also very good although it was only really two people singing but even so it was amazing. I guess I don't have a lot of critique to give about the show haha everyone was really good.
Also through the show I noticed one of the ensemble members looked like Jamie Dornan. I mean it obviously wasn't but he looked like him and it made me happy haha. I actually looked up the actor using the Dirty Dancing tour website and his name is Lewis Kirk and he plays Johnny's understudy. I don't know if he has ever had the chance to perform that role or not but I probably would have appreciated the show a bit more if he was playing Johnny haha...
But I guess that's not the point. Other things I want to say is that the part when Baby and Johnny make love for the first time was awkward. I mean obviously it didn't show everything but you know when it's leading up to sex and it's obvious it's awkward. Well it was for me and my friend. I don't know exactly why it was awkward but it was. I guess just because you are surrounded by a lot of other people and they all know what's happening and so do you and I was sitting next to a stranger so that usually makes it awkward....
Plus I can't imagine how it feels for the actors. I mean I guess if you do it enough you don't feel that awkward about it but even so it must be weird. Plus how do you normally feel when you are standing on stage in your underwear and people are cheering and whistling at you?
It's a little off putting but then again if you have been doing it for years then it's not so bad...
Then when Johnny comes back after he has been fired and everyone is again screaming and cheering - that was deafening haha. Like I said, grown women fangirling. Plus the famous line "no one puts Baby in the corner" again more cheering.
To me this line seemed a little anti-climactic. I don't know. I mean I think because I had heard people say the line out of context I thought something a lot more tragic had happened in the story for Johnny to say that but not really.
I mean yes, dramatic things happened and Baby wasn't allowed to associate with Johnny anymore and things like that but I thought some major, horrible thing happened that she was put in a corner.
Maybe it's because now when I watch TV and movies things have stepped up their game. So it's really not the fault of the story or how it was portrayed on stage but really just me and possibly this generation. I'm not entirely sure how other people my age felt, I mean my friend knew where I was coming from but who knows what everyone else thought that didn't cheer.
Another line that seemed to be a big deal but to me wasn't was the "I carried a watermelon" line. I saw it on the merchandise and I just didn't think it was that great. I mean I think because it was only like a short thing and it wasn't as funny as it should have come across if you know what I mean...again maybe it's just me. Sometimes lines like that work really well other times it's lost on people.
Overall I did enjoy the show. No I didn't fangirl with everyone else but it is a good story. I guess because of modern times I don't appreciate it as much which is sad in a way. Just because no one's life is in danger doesn't mean the story is boring.
But yeah I would recommend going to see it because it is fun to get dressed up and have a night out at the theatre. And as someone who has never seen the movie it was a really good first time experience of the story I feel like there is definitely more life to something when it is performed in front of you.
I think the next thing to do would be to watch the actual movie.

Dream Journal

So for some reason in 2012 I thought it was a good idea to start writing down some of the dreams that I remembered in the notes app on my iPod.
I don't write down every single dream I have but if there is something memorable about it or it includes a specific person I am most likely to write it down. So I have a collection of notes on my iPod with these dreams.
Basically if you were to open the notes on my iPod you would get a lot of stuff coming at you...random notes, fanfiction, dreams and the random rant about someone, also recently some YouTube related stuff. But literally that's the gist and I have had an iPod since 2010 so these notes have been going for four years.
The other night I had this sudden fear that I might lose my iPod and that I would lose four years worth of random iPod notes and I didn't want that to happen. I mean okay, normally people wouldn't think it's a big deal because normally things like that aren't important but they are to me.
Like...all that fanfiction? I like to keep. Mostly because a lot of it were ideas that I started but never finished and you never know when you might want to go back to it. Maybe one day I'll be able to create my own characters but with the same story lines. I mean everyone is doing that now.
So the other day I emailed myself every single fanfiction note I had made on my iPod and I printed it.
It took a long time because there was like 40 notes and things but I did it. Dated them all and put them in a ring binder. This seems very weird but over the years I have been writing fanfiction I have sometimes been writing on paper and not on my computer so I do have quite a lot of stuff that I have written and I like to keep it.
Mostly because computers can't always be that reliable and I have lost lots of fanfiction before due to a memory stick failure - luckily a lot of it was already online but I was still annoyed. Especially when some of the things weren't online or anywhere else so...yeah I like to have backups of everything now...well not everything but things like this.
Even though it's not that important like I could live without it but I don't want to.
Anyway enough about fanfiction the next biggest section of my iPod notes was dedicated to dreams. And I didn't know if I should just print them like my fanfiction so I decided it was better to write them down. So when I was on Amazon the other day I bought a notebook.
I always buy notebooks but then I never fill them with anything interesting but this would be the first notebook where I would actually put something in it that wasn't just random.
It arrived today - ta da!

It's super cute and it was hard to find any other nice notebooks on Amazon so this is what I went for.
So the first thing to do was copy all the dreams I have from my iPod to my notebook. And so I literally spent all day doing that while also watching Alfie Deyes a.k.a PointlessBlog on YouTube. A pretty productive day when it is raining outside and you have no job and your friends are all working or on holiday.
At this point I'd say I'm about halfway done but I never realised before just how many dreams I have recorded since 2012.
Plus I can't believe I remembered so much from my dreams. I mean I guess the more you write them down the more you are able to remember them but it's shocking how much I do remember.
While I was writing them down again I could vaguely picture what actually happened in the dream which is good. I mean this must mean my memory isn't all that bad.
Anyway yeah...I just thought I'd share that with you guys.
Do you have a dream journal? What kind of things do you dream about?
I would say the dreams I write down are only notable to me because the people in them are a main focus in my life at that point in time. Whether it be TV show characters or actual people I know. Normally they are the main focus of the dreams and those are the ones I feel I should remember.
But yeah...I definitely wouldn't go so far as to analyse the meaning behind them I mean when I look that stuff up on the internet it confuses me because how do you know what to categorise your dream as?
So yes. I guess that is everything. Bye. :P

How I Met Your Mother

I saw this on my Tumblr feed the other day - someone explains perfectly how I and many other people feel about the HIMYM finale...

My Animal Crossing Story

I have decided to tell you the story of my Animal Crossing obsession tonight. I mean I kind of started to tell the story of how much I played Animal Crossing last summer but it sort of turned into me telling my whole Animal Crossing story haha...so here it goes...
I have been a huge fan of Animal Crossing since I got my first Animal Crossing game. I joined this fandom in Wild World. I don't really know why I got the game or anything but I really liked it. It was cute, simple and you could do whatever you wanted.
I have pretty much always remembered one thing about my first ever Animal Crossing town - I cut down all the trees because they got in my way and then I realised you actually need trees haha. It was heartbreaking because I didn't want to plant trees again but at the same time I didn't want to restart my town. I did end up resetting though and since then I have restarted my Wild World game countless times.
After that I did get Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City. I mean I pretty much only got my Wii for that reason. I really loved the DS game but it was time to move on to something better. The Wii game was honestly not that great. I mean at the time I loved it, it was something new and the city feature was exciting but there weren't many events or anything like that.
Then a couple of years ago I decided to start an Animal Crossing Tumblr. I was bored one summer and thought it was an original idea. Obviously I had no idea how big the Animal Crossing fandom was. I didn't even know we had one but we do and they are all on Tumblr haha.
I like my blog, I mean I don't really know why people find it interesting because honestly I don't find it that interesting. It was just that there was a feature on the Wii where you could take screenshots and I took a lot of them. I used to post them to Facebook but obviously my Facebook friends weren't interested so I took them to Tumblr because someone was bound to like them there. I just felt that if you didn't share the photos, what was the point in taking them?
When I found out about the 3DS Animal Crossing game I was super excited. But at the same time I didn't know what I was going to do because I didn't have a 3DS. My brother had one but I didn't know if I could really get another console just for one game. I mean I do have other games for my Wii but it was mostly for Animal Crossing. At the time I didn't have to worry about it because it was about a year from the game's release.
I remember seeing lots of things on Tumblr about it and seeing the first YouTube video about it and I was so excited. They made so many changes to the game and I was more than ready for it. Of course I have always wondered what the Gamecube version of the game was like, I never owned a Gamecube so I didn't know about it. I had tried using an emulator before but it ran so slow that I couldn't play it properly...I remember that it was so slow that I was playing for an hour but only like four minutes of game time passed which is mega slow.
I was never really into Animal Crossing: Let's Plays at this time, or any Let's Plays. I don't even think I knew what they were two years ago...
But when it came closer to the time of Animal Crossing: New Leaf's release I had to look into it. It was the only way I was going to find out more about the game. I am pretty sure the first person I came across playing the game was Josh Thomas from the Bitblock. He had gotten an advanced copy of the Japanese game and he was so funny.
Josh is great I still watch him today and he is the only person I think I can watch actually play Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Life. I have tried watching GamExplain a few times but I don't like them as much and I have watched iJustine play but she doesn't play enough haha. So really I only watch Josh from the Bitblock play Nintendo games. Which is totally fine because he's great at it.
All my tweets from last summer were me commenting on Josh's videos I mean I started watching his videos late in the game so he already had loads of Animal Crossing videos uploaded so I didn't find myself waiting ages for the next one.
Eventually the time came when I had to find a way to get a 3DS and Animal Crossing. My birthday was coming up but I didn't want to ask for it because I felt like it might be too much. I mean it was. A 3DS is so expensive and I had my eye on the Animal Crossing Limited Edition 3DS XL which was super expensive. Plus I didn't have a job and I had zero money.
Thankfully, I did manage to ask for a 3DS for my birthday and my mum bought me one, and the game. I was super happy. No, I didn't get the Limited Edition DS but that didn't matter because I had the game and the console which means I could play.
So on the 20th June 2013 I became mayor of Serenity.

This was a huge deal for me. I mean I knew it was going to take over my life but I didn't know just how much. I literally played everyday and still do...
Now that it has been a year I don't feel myself wanting to play as much. The novelty has worn off. I mean I'm sure it has for everyone as I don't see as many people post on Tumblr anymore....but I will get to more of that later.
When I got Animal Crossing: New Leaf I was most excited to wifi with my friend Emelie. We had met the summer before on Instagram because I wanted someone to wifi with on Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City. Emelie is from Sweden so we do have a bit of a time difference but she is super nice and we actually have a lot in common and meeting her was a blessing because she is my first ever Animal Crossing friend.
We don't wifi as much anymore because we are both busy with school and things but we definitely go way back...

Through Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City I also met Jade. We played Animal Crossing quite a bit together but kind of lost touch after that one summer. I mean we wifi-ed once or twice since then but people get busy and so we haven't spoken in a long time.

I made a couple of other friends from Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City but none that I have really spoken to since then. Plus, with New Leaf being released I haven't played Let's Go To The City in a long time. Apart from one time that Emelie and my new friend Nathan wanted to for old time's sake.

Since then Nintendo has shut down the wifi services for the Wii and so we can no longer wifi which is sad because I have officially lost touch with those people who I met in Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City. I mean I am pretty sure I met these people through social media but I didn't ever take notice of usernames and things at the time.
So with New Leaf, I did make a lot of new friends. Mostly through the help of Club Tortimer. It is this option in Animal Crossing: New Leaf that let's you wifi with people around the world on an island. Which is always something you have to be cautious of, stranger danger and all of that. But I never ran into anyone there that was too rude. I did meet people who came to the island and then left but that was about it.
I remember the first time I came to the island and met someone I really liked, I was sad because I think I ended up taking her friendcode down wrong and then we never became friends. Which really sucked because she was really nice...
After that I did meet one person whose friendcode I got right and through her I actually met all my other Animal Crossing friends. I mean we have ourselves a little community of people who are really cool now and I really like them all. So the girl I met on the island that time was named Olivia. She and her sister Charlie shared an Animal Crossing game and I got to wifi with them at different times.

Through them I met Synyster and J Balls. They were brother and sister but they didn't share a game cartridge. They were very different and I definitely found myself taking more of a liking to Synyster than her brother...

I met a few other people through Olivia and Charlie as well as Synyster and J Balls but it's hard to tell who now. I mean when you wifi with someone and you are in their town and one of their friends stops by, you automatically add them and they add you back so you have a new 3DS friend just like that.
Olivia and Charlie had to delete all of their 3DS friends that they didn't know personally after the summer as they were too young to have people they didn't know as friends. Which kind of sucked because it means I haven't really heard from them in a while. I follow them on Miiverse so at least there's that.
Synyster played Animal Crossing a lot up until recently. I talked with her a lot because we always seemed to play at the same times and we talked about how no one plays Animal Crossing anymore. She has recently become addicted to Tomodachi Life and I can relate to that, so I don't see her on Animal Crossing as much...
Through Emelie I made a good friend, Nathan. It was during one of the fireworks shows and we kind of just clicked. I have no idea what it was but we became really close last summer. Emelie, Nathan and I wifi-ed every Sunday for the fireworks shows in August and so we talked a lot. We also had our fair share of drama with the fourth person who joined the wifi sessions but that has been put behind us.

Through Nathan I met a few other people as well. One person who didn't seem to like me for no apparent reason but that was fine. I think he figured out I only used him to buy things from his Nook shop because he had time travelled and expanded it before me. Which I know is horrible haha. But we all did it...
I also made a few other friends myself, I met this guy from Vine and made a few American friends, who I don't wifi a lot with because of time differences.
Still...last summer I did spend a lot of time glued to my DS and if I wasn't doing that I was blogging about it. It sounds crazy but I did have a good time. I mean obviously it's not that healthy but if I was online and talking to someone they were online too.
But as new games for the 3DS were released people seemed to leave Animal Crossing behind. The most notable one taking people was Pokemon X and Y. I admit I did buy Pokemon X but I would not let that get in the way of Animal Crossing. But a lot of people did.
We all actually used to keep in touch outside of Animal Crossing using the Nintendo Letter system. It was really fun and I loved sending letters to people that way and talking to them when we weren't playing Animal Crossing. Unfortunately Nintendo stopped the wifi service for that because apparently people were trading nudes for Pokemon...which sounds so bizarre to me but people were doing it.
So we haven't been able to talk other than Animal Crossing but since people have stopped playing...we don't really communicate.
Since they released Miiverse for the 3DS I have been able to follow all my 3DS friends there and sort of know what's up on the gaming side of things but even then we don't use it to talk.
It just seems as though we have grown apart which really sucks because I liked having Animal Crossing friends. I mean like I said earlier, I don't play as much as I used to mostly because when you play almost everyday for a year nothing else really happens you know? You've kind of seen it all...
It doesn't mean I'm ready to leave my game behind. It's been a big part of my life and to just never pick it up again would be terrible. So I still play, about half an hour to an hour everyday. It's kind of nice to do after a day of school or whatever else, it's very calming.
I do still keep in touch with Nathan and Emelie, we have kik so we can talk there. As for everyone else I don't really hear from them. I mean it makes sense, we all have to move on with our lives eventually. You can't always spend everyday sitting on your DS. As much as we'd like to we have to grow up and deal with the real world.
But I always like to look back. I don't regret my choice to stay home all of last summer. I mean okay maybe I do a little bit but I still made a lot of good friends. I mean I think we all have that one summer where we didn't really do anything.
I mean I have had a few summers like that but even so...I definitely enjoyed my last summer.
As for this year I am definitely doing a lot more things than last, I am making an effort to see my real life friends, I am still blogging and I started a YouTube channel so things are definitely changing.
I guess what brought this all on was that in Animal Crossing there was a reminder about the fireworks shows in August again and I was reminded of last summer.

I do want to make it a little get together for old time's sake. I mean the firework shows in August are every Sunday running from 7 to midnight and it was always a nice time to play the game. I know a lot of people don't do much on Sundays so it is a good time to play.
I just don't know if anyone else is up for it...
If they are I hope it becomes a tradition. It would be cool.
But yeah...I guess that's my Animal Crossing story. I don't know what's next for Animal Crossing, I heard they were thinking of a Wii U game which means I would have to buy yet another console...but I would be excited for it.
No I can't let this game take over my life forever but while they are still making games and I still have free time I will enjoy it. I don't exactly know what the obsession really is about but I always find myself playing it. I mean I currently am making Let's Plays of the Gamecube game as I finally am able to play it at a good speed.
So it will always be a part of my life and so I choose to embrace it.
Here's to 8-ish years of playing Animal Crossing and many more to follow. x
