Demi Lovato - Really Don't Care Music Video

I just watched this video. I love the song and I love the video.
My thing is that the song and the video don't go together? I mean the lyrics in the song is basically about this ex boyfriend who was awful...the chorus may fit as it's like not caring what people think but I just...I don't know. It doesn't fit.
That doesn't mean I am hating the video or the song but I just mean they could be two separate things and that would be okay.
I guess it's just a personal thing like hate on me for that if you want but I saw worse in the comments of this  video.
One thing for sure is...people always assume if you support gay rights you are a homosexual. Like there are so many comments on this video asking if Demi is a lesbian. Um...okay...I mean is it so hard to believe someone who is straight supports gay rights? Plus who cares? I mean I guess it's the same with everyone who asks this question, does it really matter what the person's sexual orientation is? I mean does that really affect anything?
Because to me it doesn't? I mean why should it. Unless you are trying to date someone it's not important because it doesn't affect you. I just don't know why people ask. I mean I guess I do, curiosity mostly. I mean sometimes I wonder about people's sexual orientation but I don't ever ask them because I find it to be kind of rude.
Another thing is people hating on this video. I mean I guess that's normal. Lots of people like to express hate on the internet and it often weighs out the positives but these people weren't hating on Demi they were hating on the actual content in the video. Which...just shows how many people out there are homophobic and arrogant and rude and...so on.
Something else was people saying how this is inappropriate for Demi's fans of a younger age group and comparing it to Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez who have also put out inappropriate videos.
Um...
I'd say Demi's is not as inappropriate..and I have never seen Selena put out something inappropriate other than being in Spring Breakers, which if you are a good parent you wouldn't let your child see. But like...the only things I see that might be inappropriate are naked mannequins and maybe dancing? I don't know.
While yes we do want to keep our children's innocence forever (even though no I can't really talk because I am only 17) we should educate them on this. They will at some point in their lives see a man dressed as a woman or vice versa and also see homosexual relationships...it is common now.
I mean really...plus there are loads of inappropriate songs/music videos out there and I have to say this one wasn't as inappropriate as others...let's be real.
So yeah...I don't know I guess it's all I have to say. I really liked the video, I like Demi and I like this song. I just don't understand where all these comments are coming from. And I only looked at 2 pages of the comments and I hardly saw any positive ones. Which says a lot again.
But yeah I guess everyone has their own opinion and this was mine. I know I am hating on the haters but I had a lot of thoughts about this and I know I couldn't have tweeted it because it would've been too long haha that's what blogging is for. :P

International Fangirl Day

Hey girl hey
Fangirl...
I believe I have been one since....I discovered High School Musical?
Yeah it was my favourite thing in Primary School. I got really into it and I just thought it was the best thing ever. Zac Efron was my first all time celebrity crush and well...still is one of my big crushes. I mean...have you SEEN him lately?
I think we all know what I am talking about.
But yeah...I thought since this is a blog about being a fangirl I would take the time to talk about some fandoms. I mean some I am more active in than others but I would still consider myself a part of them.
While I think I have left the High School Musical fandom it will always have a special place in my heart, I still know and listen to all the songs, I was a big Zanessa shipper back in the day...and yes, sometimes I wish I could break out into song in the middle of a corridor. And everyone join and everything but I can't.
My next big fandom was Twilight.
I mean okay I was definitely not one of the first to be in this fandom I mean I only got into the craze in 2009 - New Moon. Yeah. Basically Robert Pattinson threw me off of it a little. Not just him but the fact everyone was obsessing over him and I had no idea why - now I know why. Rob definitely grew on me as time went on...like when he got a hair cut haha but I love him now. Me and Rob - we are good. I think he's amazing and I love him as Edward and he's just...perfect.
So yeah Twilight was a big thing for me these past few years. I mean Twilight is what caused me to really get on the internet.. Like I was on it before Twilight but with it I joined Twitter, I found Tumblr...I really just got out there and away from Facebook.
I mean I think I've told this story a million times but because of Twilight and Glee, everyone kind of hated me on Facebook. I made so many Facebook statuses and looking back, some of them are very cringey. But I won't apologise for who I was like because I am who I am and if you don't like it...leave.
Right now I am pretty sure half of my Facebook friends have hidden me from their timelines...
Yet some people follow me on Twitter?
Like if you hate when I fangirl and tweet all the time then why do you still follow me? To talk about me obviously, or you're too lazy to unfollow but like...I definitely feel people probably talk about me. Which is fine because I probably talk about them to. I mean let's be real.
Anyway...
Another fandom that's big for me is Glee. People tend to have abandoned it over the years but I will always love Glee. I can't even tell you why I just love it. It always makes me happy. And yeah okay sometimes yes it can be kind of terrible but I stick with it because Glee is Glee.
Literally if you didn't like it after the first season well you won't ever like it I feel haha. I mean it is what it is. I think part of me is drawn to it because it had a High School Musical feel - which everyone told me when I first watched it. So I think that's a big thing that made me want to watch.
I think the one after that was Vampire Diaries. I was set against watching this...but then...I gave in.
Basically one summer my friend watched it non-stop and was obsessed and so I finally caved. I got into it halfway through its season 2. I love it, I mean it's really good and while I was unsure of having another vampire series in my life they are very different. I mean I love my Damon and I love my Stefan and I try to keep my love for them equal but I tend to like Stefan a little bit more. I feel like he needs it since everyone on my Twitter timeline has those Damon feels.
I always tend to want to go with the hipster vote. The unpopular one really haha. Because I like to be different but not in a stuck up attention seeking way.
The next one after that I think was Blood on the Dance Floor.
My friend showed me them as a joke but like...I'm obsessed. They're song "sexting" was catchy and soon I discovered they had a lot of inappropriately catchy songs. And while a lot of people hate them, due to rumours or their appearance or the music I like them.
Again with the unpopular opinion.
But I just think they are amazing, they are making it on their own with their own record label and they are pretty amazing and down to earth. Yes, they do look a little different but that's part of why I love them. Plus, Dahvie is so sweet and has tweeted me many times so I definitely feel special because of this haha.
Like I am always unsure of their music when it's first released but I do end up really loving it. I never really pictured it being my music taste but it is and I'm happy with it.
Soon after came Pretty Little Liars...
One summer I watched like five TV series... Desperate Housewives, Hell Cats (cancelled after one season), Privileged (cancelled after 2? seasons), The Big Bang Theory (up to season 5), How I Met Your Mother (up to season 9) and Pretty Little Liars. Like it was a lot of TV and no social interaction that I can recall hahaha.
But Pretty Little Liars was only on season 2? I think...It was a while back. But I was obsessed.
I mean it's definitely a show for me because it's teenage girl drama and as a teenage girl, I feel I can relate although at the same time not really because my friend never disappeared, I am not being stalked/tortured by some anonymous person and um... I have never shop lifted, had a drug problem, had an affair with a teacher or am a lesbian...but you know...it's a great show.
I definitely need to read the books but I am so into this show...it's amazing.
Soon after that came Gossip Girl. I know Gossip Girl is over but like...the Upper East Side guys...it's where it's at.
I feel it has a similar tone to Pretty Little Liars, an anonymous person spreading their secrets? Yeah similar theme although in this show Gossip Girl isn't trying to kill anyone. Haha. I really loved the series, I jumped ships so many times it was hard to keep up with who I was supporting but it was a really good/crazy ride for me and I love the show a lot. I still watch it because you can never get enough of the Upper East Side.
And then after that it was my latest one...Fifty Shades of Grey.
I'll let you in on a little secret...
I thought I might get hooked on this...
I mean I was set to read it for ages and then I FINALLY got around to it. I LOVE Twilight fanfiction, literally once I find a good Edward/Bella fanfiction, I am set. I mean every story I end up liking has a lot of lemons and I really can't help that part of me that likes reading it...
Anyway yes, so this just happened to be the most talked about Twilight fanfiction because it's an international best seller and is becoming a movie.
I had definitely heard about it as Master of the Universe. Hell I wanted to read MOTU way back when...but I turned it down when I went to the fanfiction and saw the tiny print and long, long paragraphs haha. I sent it to the back of my reading list and kind of forgot about it.
But no I am hooked. Like...I need a Christian Grey.
As with a few of my fandoms there has definitely been backlash. As if people really want to think about this relationship as anything but super abusive and not like a BDSM relationship at all and all this other stuff. But guys, it's fictional.
Literally at the end of the day I want a guy who is as sweet as Christian, he's caring, rich and just...amazing, plus Jamie Dornan is the cherry on top of this cake.
Similar to Rob I was unsure of how I felt about him but eventually I was like - hell yeah. Not to mention the fact he's a Northern Irish guy like...they don't just happen. Trust me, they don't...not good looking ones anyway haha.
He's super great and I just...I'm crazy about him now haha.
So yeah those are all my main fandoms - well the ones that are still relevant and a big part of my life.
The one that is sort of underlying and will always be there is Friends. I mean it is just the show you watch. While I have learnt it's not for everyone I feel it is definitely one for the ages. Like it's still relevant and I can quote it at random times and most people just look at me weirdly...but it's definitely timeless.
Another fandom like that is Mean Girls. Although I have to say I'm only there for the quotes. I don't follow the "rules" haha. I mean I hardly ever wear pink...and my hair is in a pony tail quite a lot...
Finally two fandoms I think will stay with me much longer than the rest are Sims and Animal Crossing.
Mainly because unlike TV shows they are never really fading. They are always coming out with new games and they are timeless and things you can always turn to. While yes, you can do the same with TV I feel it is not the same, because actors age, they come and go but a Sim/Animal Crossing town you created ten years ago could still be there and almost as if you never left it. I say almost because with Animal Crossing real time does pass haha.
So yes, this was just an appreciation post to all the fandoms. The ones I am in, the ones I might not be in but I definitely think they are great. I mean yeah sometimes they are overboard but so is every addiction. I mean a fandom is just an addiction it can be unhealthy if you let it. But honestly I think I've calmed over the years haha.
So here is to another long year of fangirling and many more years to come. x

My Attempt at Being a Beauty Guru

So this is me attempting to be a beauty guru. I could never be a full time one haha.
I don't know what it is, but watching people unbox things can sometimes be fun, at the same time it's kind of lame. But I always wanted to try it. I have also always wanted to try and do a haul video but I don't buy a lot of things at the same time to haul them.
Still I'm trying out different YouTube videos because I have lots of free time on my hands and why not?
I mean I don't know what I am doing with my life but YouTube seems like something to try out until I do haha.
I like expressing myself on the internet and this is just another platform to do it in.
Maybe this is what I want to do for the rest of my life...like....internet haha...who knows...

Pentatonix

I have a new obsession in my life.
It is Pentatonix.

They are an acapella band that I have just fallen in love with.
Basically what happened was that Scott and Mitch were on YouTubers react, because they have their own channel called SuperFruit.

I wanted to check out their channel and once I saw that they had done a collab with Tyler Oakley I immediately approved of them haha.
I got addicted to SuperFruit pretty fast. I mean Mitch and Scott are hilarious, they are amazing at singing and I just binge watched like all of their videos in one night. It's hard to say which one is my favourite but I am really digging their Frozen Melody...
Oh actually, the first video I really liked was their 101 Ways To Ditch Your Friends it sounds so mean but I thought it was funny. Also when I like a video it automatically tweets so I had to delete that tweet so my friends didn't think I was going out of my way to find reasons not to hang out with them haha. I love my friends and I do want to hang out with them!
Eventually after I had watched all their videos I decided to finally check out Pentatonix. I don't know why I put it off I just did haha. I think I was afraid I wouldn't like the band as much as Mitch and Scott alone...that sounds weird but I'm like that.
But they are actually amazing...
I learnt they won this show Sing-Off which I have never heard of but they are amazing for a group that hadn't met until days before their first performance.

One of my favourite songs they did on the Sing-Off was the mashup of Since You've Been Gone and Forget You it was soo good...I also binge watched all of the Pentatonix videos and all the PTX vlogs too...
I don't know what it is about them...
Like there's not just one thing I just think they are awesome.
I like everyone in the band pretty equally but if I had to say anything it's that Scott's voice...I'm in love with it. Like I don't know, he does happen to take the lead in a lot of songs but his voice is just one that I could listen to all the time. In the song Natural Disaster especially...it's just so good...

Also Avi's voice? That is also amazing. Like dude...I didn't know people could do bass with their voices. This is news to me. But yeah his voice is so deep and I never expected that...it's just not something you hear everyday haha. Also when I was on Avi's Twitter I noticed he does like to take stalker photos of Kevin sleeping...like a lot hahahahaha that's also very interesting....

I do love Kevin, Mitch and Kirstie too of course. And I hate to say it but Scott and Avi's voices are my favourite. Mitch does really good Sharpie sounds though I must give him that haha. I kept thinking about that the other day because I could hear my pen making noise against the paper and it just reminded me of Mitch haha.

Kevin is a great beat boxer and his little thing with Avi in the middle of the Since You've Been Gone/Forget You mash up was like...my most favourite thing ever. These guys are just so amazing. Also he is a great dancer.

Finally Kirstie...the girl of the group haha. I think she's amazing, in the Frozen Melody she did with Scott and Mitch she sounded exactly like Kristen Bell...it's soo good. She is also super pretty and also the lead of a song if Scott is not the lead. I really like her voice too...

And so yeah...I just wanted to make an appreciation blog post. Normally when I become obsessed with something new my friends don't get it. I mean I don't know...I tend to be extreme with things I either love it to death or I hate it...it's hard to know if there is an in between haha.
Right now I am obsessed with their cover of Cruisin' For a Bruisin' from Teen Beach Movie. Unfortunately I can't get it on iTunes in the UK yet and I'm sad. I did watch the Disney version but I think it's trying way too hard to be Grease than anything else...so yeah...I didn't want to like the song because it was Disney but Disney do have some great songs...I mean Frozen, High School Musical, Hannah Montana...I love the songs from those.
I have yet to watch Teen Beach Movie and I don't think I ever will watch it since my friend told me it was bad. So I think I'll just enjoy my one song.
Anyway yeah...that's everything.
I'm pretty sure there will be another blog post coming soon. About my love for this new game that just got released. Tomodachi Life. I have yet to purchase it but I have to wait until after my exams or else revision will go out the window. But until then...back to listening to PTX.
